Fibroblasts

Fibroblasts maintain the structural framework of tissues and are key mediators of tissue remodelling (also see our fibrosis page). They can also play important roles in responding and contributing to inflammation through cytokine production.

Celentyx use a range of assays to investigate fibroblast function, including high-content imaging assays to quantify NFkB translocation and α-smooth-muscle actin expression, and ELISA/Luminex​ to quantify cytokine secretion.

Assays may be suitable for studying modulators of CXCR4, FGFRs, IL-1R, IL-6R, PDGFRs, TGFβR, TNFR1, TNFR2, VEGFR and others.
