Research/Senior/Principal Scientist positions at Celentyx Ltd
Celentyx Ltd is a successful pharmaceutical research and development company (this position will be based at the Birmingham UK site), undertaking high-level immune-focussed in vitro research using human primary cells and tissues relevant to immuno-oncology, inflammation, neuroinflammation and fibrosis.
As part of our ongoing expansion, we are currently looking for highly motivated, hard-working individuals to join our in vitro biology team. This team runs a wide range of immunology, cell biology and pharmacology assays screening novel immune-modulating drugs using techniques such as multi-colour flow cytometry, high-throughput confocal microscopy, multiplex cytokine assays, 3D-culture and RNAseq. Successful applicants will be an integral part of a dynamic and flexible team that delivers a variety of high-level and often bespoke research to strict timescales.
Prospective candidates should hold a degree in immunology or another relevant subject and preferably a PhD or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience and high-level competence (both practical and theoretical) in molecular immunology (including an understanding of signalling pathways leading to immune cell responses), in vitro immunology (including performing complex assays involving purified immune cells), and multi-parametric flow cytometry are preferred. Experience working with human tissue and/or industrial experience would be an advantage. In addition, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently are essential. All Celentyx personnel have a responsibility to understand and follow the company’s quality management system.
A generous performance-based remuneration package is available. If appropriate, successful candidates will have the opportunity to register for a PhD.
Interested parties should email a current CV and cover letter to opportunities@celentyx.com.
